rawbdz: K Project is a minimalist housing complex located in Couëron, France, designed by Berranger & Vincent. This project aims to make a clear link between the rural landscape and the new residential neighbourhood. Small collective housing buildings line up beside one another along the street: simple, fragmented, with defined edges, carved by a set of “habitable” grooves. From these “habitable” grooves, or appropriable levels, one can have glimpses of the houses’ central communal space. Every residence is oriented East-West. The living areas, which are largely glazed, benefit from maximum daylight.
